 I will say that the journey in learning a new language has been hard. It was hard for me to teach myself such a difficult language that consisted of 3 different alphabets. However, it was through daily practice that I was able to get better. Yet, it still interests me and I am looking forward to continuing learning. There are small wins, such as being able to understand some context in anime, which was a goal that I had started. It was weird trying to speak Japanese at first as well, but with time, it got easier, and I am now able to have a conversation in it, which is amazing.

 Today, I finished watching the Sakamoto Days anime. It was very interesting, and for the last episode, I tried to watch it without using the subtitles. Unfortunately, I could not understand a good 95% of it, but there were some familiar words, which were nice! It is truly fascinating how we are able to learn a new language within a semester, even if it is just the basics. I can not wait until I am able to watch without subtitles one day.

solo leveling review number 2

​In Episode 11 of the anime Solo Leveling Season 2, the Jeju Island raid climaxes as the S-rank hunters confront the formidable ant queen. Here, while the hunters initially win against the queen as well as the army ants, the emergence of a new black ant shows a new challenge that the hunters must face (although easy for Sung Jinwoo). The animation highlights Cha Hae-In's fierce battle choreography and this was arguably one of the best episodes in terms of animation itself. I believe I am getting better at Japanese as there are some basic words that I am able to pick up which shows progress!

solo leveling review

 For Blog Post 5, I watched 3 episodes of the new Solo Leveling anime. I have not watched anime in a while, but I read the manhwa for Solo Leveling when it came out, and it was interesting to see Korean manhwa animated in Japanese. It was definitely a great watch, as the action and animation had a lot of detail, and you could see the effort put in by the animators. I am excited for the next episode next week as it is my favorite manhwa, and seeing a Japanese take on it is amazing! The pacing is very good and it is a great watch that I recommend.
